The Creative Process
The Idea
The idea behind a new doodle or drawing comes from many different influences and interests. For my doodles, the idea is usually exploring different styles within the doodle. Other doodles, such as the Zodiac Inspired doodles start again with a specific style, for example, Libra incorporates Baroque design influences.
The First line
The first line often sets the tone and direction for the rest of the drawing or doodle. As each line is added, an image forms and the artwork begins to reveal itself.
The Finish
The finish does not always appear as a defined moment in time or the drawing's creation. The finish can be just a feeling that "enough is enough". Overworking a piece can remove the spontenaity that makes a doodle so special.
